Paganini won the 7th Batuka! Masters – National Drummer´s Contest, in 2002. He also participated, with the Gilberto de Queiroz and Murilo A. de Araújo Barbosa´s tune “Fusão do Brasil” in the 2nd Batuka! CD, released in 2004.

Paganini nowadays teaches drums and performs with some instrumental music groups like, the Grupo ARA, a quartet which played with Filó Machado, and is formed by Myrian Hungria (bass), Dinan Machado (guitar) and Breno Ruiz (piano). Also performs with the guitarist Demma K, and started the “De Vez Em Trio”, a Power trio which invites bass and saxophone players to Jam."
